We sincerely thank HOTAI Leasing for joining hands with the Taiwan Baseball Development Association this year and taking meaningful action to support young athletes as they pursue their dreams.
As part of this partnership, HOTAI Leasing provided the Association with a “Green Mobility Charity Vehicle” for one year to support our daily school visits and administrative work. The company also donated 1,000 hours of iRent car-sharing service for coaches and young players at schools supported by the Taiwan Baseball Development Association, providing more reliable and convenient transportation for games and training.
Together, these efforts help create a sustainable cycle of positive impact through the collaboration of business, philanthropy, and society.
With these additional resources, many of the schools we support have gained greater flexibility in arranging transportation for games and training, allowing young players to focus more fully on pursuing their goals.
At Wanfeng Elementary School in Taichung City, the baseball team has participated in numerous qualifying tournaments and friendly competitions this year. The team not only won the Taichung qualifying tournament for the National Elementary School Baseball League (Rubber-ball Division) and earned the opportunity to compete in the national tournament in Chiayi, but also finished as runner-up in the Taichung City U12 selection tournament—one of the best results in the team’s history.
The coach shared:
“With the support of iRent, we no longer have to give up opportunities to compete simply because we don’t have access to a vehicle. We can also arrange more friendly games, giving the children more opportunities to keep learning and improving.”
For Hwa-Ren Junior High School in Hualien, iRent has also become an important source of support. The team traveled to Taitung in March to compete in the national hardball baseball league and participated in the Wan Shih Yi Air Conditioner Cup junior high school baseball tournament in April.
The coach explained:
“With iRent, once we arrive in Taitung, we have a vehicle available to transport baseball equipment and purchase meals and other supplies. It makes everything much more convenient and takes a significant burden off the team.”
At Zhulin Elementary School in Yilan, the team was using iRent for the first time. The coach laughed and admitted that it took a little time to become familiar with the service at first, but once they got the hang of it, they quickly realized how convenient it was. It has since given the team another flexible transportation option when traveling for games and training.
Beyond supporting our partner schools, the vehicle provided to the Taiwan Baseball Development Association has also accompanied our team on visits throughout the communities we serve.
Whether traveling with instructors to schools for our Baseball Learning Program workshops or delivering sports drinks and snacks to young players competing away from home, the vehicle helps us carry out the many everyday tasks that make our work possible. These actions may seem small, but each one plays a part in supporting the children as they continue moving forward.
For these young athletes, every trip to a tournament and every journey to training is an opportunity to gain experience and grow. Behind every successful departure are many people and organizations working together to make that journey possible.
Our heartfelt thanks go to HOTAI Leasing for providing another source of reliable and meaningful support as we continue walking alongside these children.
The Taiwan Baseball Development Association will continue supporting young baseball and softball players who love the game, helping them move forward one step at a time—and carry their dreams even further.
